Dwell 6 Troubleshooting Guide
Common Issues and Solutions
Issue | Possible Cause | Troubleshooting Steps |
Unit does not turn back on automatically after being unplugged | Normal startup behavior | After reconnecting power, press the Power button to restart the unit. The purifier is designed to remain OFF until manually powered on. |
Power button stays softly illuminated while unit is off | Normal standby lighting behavior | The Power button may remain softly lit while the unit is plugged in but turned off. This is expected operation. |
Fan speed changes automatically | Auto Mode or air quality adjustments | The purifier may automatically increase or decrease airflow during operation. This is normal behavior during Auto Mode use. |
Fan speed changes feel gradual | Standard airflow transition behavior | Fan speed adjustments may occur gradually rather than instantly. This helps maintain normal operation and airflow transitions. |
Air quality light changes color | Air quality conditions have changed | The air quality indicator may change color based on surrounding air conditions. This is expected operation while the purifier is running. |
Control panel lights dim or turn off | Normal display dimming behavior | The display lights may brighten after interaction and dim after inactivity. In Nighttime mode, brightness may reduce significantly. |
Display blinks while setting timer or delay functions | Normal setup response | The display may briefly blink or show temporary numbers while timer or delay settings are being adjusted. |
Unit appears inactive before starting | Delay or Away mode may be active | During delay functions, the purifier may wait before starting. After the delay period, the unit may temporarily operate at a higher speed before returning to previous settings. |
Fan suddenly runs at maximum speed | Quick Clean feature may be active | Quick Clean operation may temporarily run the purifier at maximum speed before returning to the previous setting. |
Controls appear unresponsive | Lock feature may be enabled | Check whether the Lock function is active. Disable Lock mode and retry the controls. |
Touch controls do not respond immediately | Deliberate press may be required | Touch controls may require a firm, intentional press to activate settings. |
Filter light turns on | Filter maintenance reminder | The filter indicator may illuminate after extended use. Follow the filter replacement and reset instructions for your unit. |
Filter light blinks after reset | Normal reset confirmation behavior | A brief blinking light after resetting the filter reminder is expected operation. |
Lights fade in and out instead of switching instantly | Normal brightness transition behavior | Display lighting may gradually fade during operation or Nighttime mode. This is expected behavior. |
Airflow feels weak even on high speed | Air intake or filter may require inspection | 1. Verify the filter is properly installed. 2. Check for obstructions around the air intake and outlet. 3. Confirm the unit is set to a higher fan speed. |
Helpful Tip
If the purifier appears quieter, dimmer, or changes speed automatically, check whether Auto Mode, Nighttime Mode, or a timer function is active. These are normal operating features designed to improve everyday performance.
