Vornado 660 Troubleshooting Guide
Many operating behaviors that may seem unusual at first are part of normal operation. Please review the information below before contacting Customer Support.

| Unit starts on High speed every time it is turned on. | This is normal. The product is designed to start on High speed when powered on. Adjust to a lower speed after startup if desired. |
| Unit starts on High speed after being unplugged. | This is normal. After power has been disconnected, the unit returns to its default startup behavior. |
| Unit returns to High speed after being turned off and back on. | This is normal. Each restart follows the same standard startup pattern. |
| Unit takes a moment to settle after turning on. | This is normal. The fan may take a few moments to stabilize after startup. |
| Speed settings can be changed during use. | This is normal. Multiple speed levels are available and may be selected using the controls. |
| Airflow changes between speed settings. | This is normal. Differences in airflow and sound are expected between available speed levels. |
| Speed changes feel delayed. | This is normal. Allow a brief moment for the motor to adjust after selecting a new speed. |
| One speed seems louder than another. | This is normal. Different speed settings naturally create different airflow sounds. |
| Controls do not appear to respond. | Press each control firmly once and allow a moment for the unit to react. |
| Unit will not operate normally. | Turn the unit off, unplug for 30 seconds, reconnect power, and restart. |
When to Contact Customer Support
Contact Customer Support if:
- The product does not turn on
- Speed settings cannot be changed
- The product does not respond to controls
- One or more speeds are not functioning
- You notice unusual odor, smoke, overheating, sparking, visible damage, or any safety concern
Helpful Tip
If quieter airflow is preferred, allow startup to complete, then select a lower speed setting.
