Vornado 560 Troubleshooting Guide
Many operating behaviors that may seem unusual at first are part of normal operation. Please review the information below before contacting Customer Support.
| PROBLEM | POSSIBLE CAUSE AND SOLUTION |
|---|---|
| Unit briefly starts at a higher speed when turned on. | This is normal. The product may briefly start at a higher speed before adjusting to the selected or remembered setting. |
| Unit changes speed shortly after startup. | This is normal. After startup, the fan may settle into the previously used speed setting. |
| Unit returns to the last used speed after being turned off and back on. | This is normal. The product may remember the last selected speed setting. |
| Unit starts on a higher default speed after being unplugged. | This is normal. Disconnecting power may reset startup behavior, causing the unit to begin on a default higher speed. |
| Startup sound changes for a few seconds. | This is normal. A brief change in motor sound or airflow may occur while the fan transitions to the final speed setting. |
| Airflow changes during startup. | This is normal. Airflow may briefly increase or change before stabilizing. |
| Unit does not seem to hold selected speed immediately. | Allow a moment after startup for the fan to complete its normal transition and settle into the chosen speed. |
| Speed seems inconsistent after startup. | Turn the unit off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on and allow startup to complete fully. |
| Unit does not respond to controls. | Ensure the unit is plugged into a working outlet. Press controls firmly once and allow a moment for response. |
| Unit will not operate normally. | Turn the unit off, unplug for 30 seconds, reconnect power, and restart. |
