184 Troubleshooting Guide

Many operating behaviors that may seem unusual at first are part of normal operation. Please review the information below before contacting Customer Support.

PROBLEMPOSSIBLE CAUSE AND SOLUTION
Unit will not turn on.Ensure the unit is plugged into a working outlet. Press the Power button once firmly.
Indicator lights come on when powered.This is normal. Lights illuminate to show the unit is operating.
Unit turns off when Power button is pressed again.This is normal. The Power button toggles the unit on and off.
Speed changes one level at a time.This is normal. Each press of the speed button changes the speed one level at a time.
Speed returns to the lowest setting after the highest speed.This is normal. After reaching the highest setting, the next press cycles back to the lowest setting.
Indicator lights change with speed setting.This is normal. Lights may change in number, brightness, or appearance to reflect the selected speed.
Unit starts at the last used speed.This is normal. The product may remember the previously selected speed setting.
Timer is off when first turned on.This is normal. The timer begins in the off position until selected.
Timer increases one step at a time.This is normal. Each press of the timer button increases the setting one level at a time.
Timer turns off after the highest setting.This is normal. After the maximum timer setting is reached, the next press turns the timer off.
Indicator lights change when timer is active.This is normal. Lights may change color or appearance while timer mode is selected.
Remote does not respond.Move closer to the unit and point the remote directly toward the product. Remove any objects blocking the signal path.
Remote only works at certain angles or distances.This is normal. Remote performance may vary based on positioning, room layout, and surroundings.
Buttons seem slow to respond.This is normal. A brief delay may occur between button press and product response. Press once and allow a moment for the unit to react.
Repeated button presses do not all register.This is normal. Rapid repeated inputs may not register separately. Use steady press-and-release button presses.
Unit will not operate normally.Turn the unit off, unplug for 30 seconds, reconnect power, and restart.

When to Contact Customer Support

Contact Customer Support if:

  • The product does not respond to power, speed, or timer inputs
  • Indicator lights do not activate at all
  • The unit cannot be turned on or off
  • The remote does not function at close range with clear positioning
  • The product fails to operate consistently under normal use
  • You notice unusual odor, smoke, overheating, sparking, visible damage, or any safety concern
